To tape an ankle, you need to make sure you are supporting it well and that you are also allowing some movement to it. The most common type of ankle taping is a basketweave type wrap. It supports the ankle and allows it to rest and heal. You want to start by taking a long piece of 1 in tape and taping it under the heel of your foot and bringing the ends up your ankle, to form a U shape. Next, take another piece and make a U shape placing the middl eof the tap behind your heel and allowing the ends to go up towards your toes.
