How to Start a Credit Union?

The first step in starting a Credit Union is getting a group together. This group should have something in common (ex. employees of the same company).You will then have to do some paperwork from the NCUA. You will need to meet membership requirements. Obviously, you will need someone with a financial background (ex. CPA) to help form the company. Form a committee, set up directors, collect some money and then apply to NCUA for official status.
