How to Stain Concrete?

Concrete stains use acid, metallic salts, and other materials to cause chemical reactions that change the color and composition of concrete. The first step to staining concrete is to fix any cracks or damage, then completely vacuum and wash the area, then carefully apply the acid stain (which can be purchased at a home improvement store) using a sprayer and a broom to scrub in the solution. Let it dry and then neutralize the acid with a baking-soda wash prior to applying the sealer.
