How to Shuck An Oyster?

Shucking an oyster is easier than it looks. It is easiest when you have an oyster knife but you can do it with a regular one as well. First find the joint where the two halves of the shells meet. Then put the knife in the joint and twist it so it breaks the joint open. Then you can just open it. If you steam oysters first it makes them a lot easier to shuck.
