How to Read Tires?

To read tires you first need to know what all of the numbers mean. Once you know that, reading tires is simple. For example 215/75R16, the first number 215 means that the tire is 215mm wide. The second number 75 is the aspect ratio, which means the width divided by the height, in this case it is 75%. The R stands for radial, today most tires are radial. The last number, 16 means that the tires will fit on a 16 inch rim. For more information look here:
