Swiss steak can be made with any steak, but round or cube steak work best. With round steak, cut the steak into bite size pieces. Add a few tablespoons of vegetable oil to skillet. Add steak, one 16 ounce can of tomatoes, chopped onions,and peppers. Cook until meat is tender. Add 3 tablespoons flour and stir. The recipe is the same for the cube steak except the cooking time is much shorter since cube steak cooks quite fast. Add all ingredients at once, including the flour and stir ’til thick. Serve and enjoy.
