Pizzelles, also known as Italian wafer cookies, are made by first combining 1 1/2 cup of flour with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Set aside and in a mixing bowl combine 3 eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup melted butter, 2 teaspoons vanilla and 1 teaspoon anise seeds. Mix well. Slowly add the flour mixture and beat until it is smooth. Spray your pizzelle baker with a nonstick cooking spray, heat baker and cook the dough according to your pizzelle baker instructions.
