The hardest part about making tortillas to me is rolling them thin enough. Anyway, mix together the following, 3 cups flour, 2 teaspoons baking soda, 2 teaspoons salt, 3/4 cup shortening, and 3/4 cup hot water. Cut in the shortening to dry ingrediants, and then water slowly. Mix by hand until mixtures forms a ball and let rest for about 30 minutes. Roll out about a dozen balls to about 1/8 inch thickness (good luck). Cook in skillet over med heat about 2 min per side.
