There are chemical free methods to get rid of the pest. Crickets are drawn to sweets, combine water and molasses in a jar and then set the jars in various places around the house. It is like the cricket motel, crickets get in but cannot get out. You can always get a frog to do the job, but then you have to get rid of the frog.
