Forgiving someone who has hurt you takes time. Just like it takes time to heal a physical wound, it also takes time to heal an emotional one. As time goes by you will be able to let go of the hurt. Don’t hold on to it. If you hold on to it and keep playing it over and over in your head it will make it harder to forgive. Just because you forgive the person doesn’t mean you have to let them back in your life, it just means you no longer hold them accountable for the offense. Then you move on.
