How to Find the Area of a Parallelogram?

A parallelogram is a 4 sided polygon with parallel opposite sides. Both pairs of opposite sides must be parallel. The formula used to determine the area of a parallelogram is BH. B is the base of the parallelogram and h is the height of any altitude that can be drawn to the base. The base and the height of the parallelogram must be given in order to use this formula to find the area of the parallelogram.
