How to Figure Ratios?

The ratio is a comparison of two numbers. Say you have 17.35 and 20.14. Divide the smaller number by the larger (17.35/20.14=0.861). The first number is 0.861 to 1. To adjust the ratio, divide 1 by 0.861 (1/0.861=1.1610). So, the ratio of the two numbers is 1 to 1.16.
