To cook a goose, first make sure all of the tiny pin feathers have been removed. Next wash the goose in cold water and place him in a roasting pan. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder on the inside and outside of the goose. Baste the outside with melted butter and sprinkle on parsley. Roast, uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the size of the goose. Baste with more butter thoughout the cooking process. If the skin starts to get too brown before the goose is done, cover it with a tent of aluminum foil.
