How to Convert Decimals Into Fractions?

The first thing to do is to determine if the decimal is in the tenths, hundredths, or thousandths. Ex. 0.5, 0.05, 0.005 When that’s done you want to move the decimal to make it a whole number, meaning you would move the decimal to the right of the number. Ex. 0.4= 4, 0.56= 56, 0.142= 142Then you would place the whole number into a fraction. If it’s tenths it would be the whole number over 10. (4/10) If it’s hundredths it would be the whole number over 100. (56/100) If it’s thousandths it would be the whole number over 1000. (142/1000) The last thing you’d do is to simplify if possible.
