Changing a tire on a motorcycle can be tricky. Regardless of if it is the front or back tire, the wheel needs to be removed. For the front this is not too difficult, but for the back this involves removal of the sprockets and all other components attached to the rear wheel. After the wheel is off you are faced with getting the tire on the wheel. If you do not own spoons this can be especially difficult depending on the type of tire. If you are knowledgeable enough to get the wheel off, I recommend taking it to the shop and having them mount the tire in order to avoid damage to the bead. Afterward you will likely need to align your rear wheel. If you are not versed in performing these duties I recommend leaving it to a professional.
