How to Calculate Sat Scores?

For the SAT you get one point added for each correct answer in a section. Then 1/4 of a point subtracted for each wrong multiple choice question. Nothing is added or subtracted for omitted answers or wrong math answers. The total points are then compared to scores from other versions of the test to get a more accurate score. This accounts for differences in tests and test locations. This is your final score for each section. Finally, those scores are added together to get your total score.
