To become an orthopedic surgeon you first have to do four years of premed in college. Then you have to apply and get accepted to a medical school. Part of doing this is taking the MCAT. You also have to do three years of clinical rotations in medical school. Once that is done find a specialty program that interests you. Finally do a residency in orthopedic surgery.
