How to Bake Chestnuts?

To bake chestnuts, first, preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Clean the chestnuts; use a paring knife to carve an X on one side or prick them with a fork so steam can escape. Place nuts in a shallow pan or baking sheet making sure the cut or pricked side faces up. Bake in the oven for 15-25 minutes, until the chestnuts are tender and peel easily. When cooled, peel the nuts and eat!
