Typically by the time a baby is three months old they are eating 5 – 6 ounces of formula about every 3 – 4 hours. Should the child be breastfed, nursing about every 3 hours on both sides should equate the same. Breast milk does break down faster in your baby’s system so they may want to nurse more often. Sometimes babies will eat more often or rather fuss for more at a feeding. This will most likely be due to growth spurts. This will be more individual per your own baby and should there be any concerns, they should be directed to your baby’s doctor. Remember they are changing rapidly and enjoy the closeness of your feeding times!
