How Much is a Kilobyte?

In computers, a kb (or kb) is equivalent to 1024 bytes. Though the prefix ‘kilo’ is widely used to denote a thousand, in computers, it is the 2 to the 10th power (2^10), or if computed, 1,024. Most files that can be found in the computer are measured by kilobytes, especially those basic ones, like document and jpeg files.
