How Many Weeks can You Receive Unemployment?

It all depends on your state. Some states are 13 weeks and others are 26 weeks. There are also rules if you recieved a severence package or not and varies by state. During times of high unemployment additional weeks of benefits are available. To be eligible you must meet eligibility requirements and have been let go through no fault of your own. Generally, the amount your recieve is half of what you earned per week up to the state’s maximum. Check with your state’s unemployment office.
