How Many Slaves Did Harriet Tubman Free?

Harriett Tubman is the noted abolitionist and leader of the Underground Railroad who was born into slavery around the 1820. She helped hundred of slaves, about 300, to escape to Canada and free states by providing hiding places and safe passage to freedom from slavery. Of significance, is the fact that she also helped her parents to escape to freedom to Auburn, New York, where she was later involved in issues relating to the rights of women and other social issues. Harriet Tubman died in 1913 at about age 93, following a life of hardship, significance and success in helping other slaves gain their freedom. Look here for more information:
