When trying to figure out the total number of bytes, it’s important to remember the number 1,024. Starting from the smallest measure of digital information (byte), there are 1024 bytes in a kilobyte. There are 1,024 kilobytes in a megabyte. (1mb = 1024kb) Once you have reached 1,024 of a particular byte, the next scale of size is used.
