How Many Feet are in a Story?

There are 10 feet in each story of a building. Therefore, if you have a 30 story building, it would be 300 ft. tall. This can vary a little from building to building, depending on how it’s constructed. With 8 foot ceilings, and allowing 2 – 4 ft. of space from one story to another, then the overall story for that particular building would be 12 ft. However, on an average, allow 10 ft. per story.
