Beef tenderloin is a beautiful, tender, cut of meat and can be roasted in your oven, or, over an indirect grill. A half roast, 2 to 3 pounds, in a medium hot oven (or grill), 425 degrees, will take 45 minutes to 1 hour. Meat is best cooked to rare, or 140 degrees
