How Long is the Nile?

The Nile river is possibly the longest river in the world running neck and neck with the Amazon river. The Nile is estimated to be 6695 Kilometers long and runs from Uganda to Ethiopia winding through other countries such as Zaire, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Sudan. Many ancient cities are located along the Nile, the river made the soil so fertile at its banks that is allowed many of the ancient civilizations to flourish and establish the area.
