How Long do You Boil Eggs?

The ‘boiling’ part of the process actually doesn’t last very long. You prepare the pot/saucepan with the eggs in a single layer. Then, allow it to heat to the ‘just’ boiling point. Remove from the burner and cover with lid. Allow the eggs to stand in the hot water for approximately 15 minutes for large eggs, 12 minutes for medium eggs, and 18 minutes for extra large eggs.
