How Long are Medical Records Kept?

Different records are kept for different periods of time. GP records-10 years after the patient’s death, or after the patient has permanently left the country. GP records relating to children are kept til they are 25. Dental records-11 years for children or until the patient is 25. For adults. 11 years. Immunisation and vaccination records until the children reach age 25. Maternity records- 25 years after last birth.
