How is the Date of Passover Determined?

The Jews were able to calculate the date of the passover by waiting for the spring equinox. The first new moon closest to the spring equinox was the beginning of Nisan. The passover was 14 days later. The last passover meal that Jesus had with his apostles became ‘The Lords’ evening meal’, it was supposed to replace the passover. For more information, look here:
