How is Rosh Hashanah Celebrated?

The holida of Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year. It is observed as the last day of rest and by the recitng of an extended version of the Amidah prayer. It is generally tradition to celebrate in the first afternoon of the second Sabbath the practice of tashlikh. This practice involves the saying of payers near flowing water. This represents sins being cast down into the water.
