How is Mad Cow Disease Treated?

Mad cow disease is an infectious protein that occurs in cattle. This disease has no known treatment and can quickly spread to other members of the herd. The only treatment is slaughtering the infected cattle to prevent spreading it to other cows, as well as, to help prevent it from contaminating our food supply.
