How is Lung Cancer Detected?

In order to detect lung cancer, your doctor will first look at your symptoms as well as your medical history along with any environmental factors that could be a cause for concern. Then if your doctor suspects that it may be lung cancer, he or she will order either a CT scan or a chest x-ray to be done. If something on these scans shows even more of a cause for concern such as a tumor or a cyst, your doctor will more than likely then order that a biopsy be done on it.
