How is An Echocardiogram Done?

An echocardiogram is a painless procedure that can be done right in your doctors office. Leads will be attached to your chest with a sticky pad so that they can get an EKG reading to match up with the echocardiogram. They will then place a wand on the chest area after using a bit of jell so they can move the wand around easily. The technician will apply a gentle amount of pressure and take pictures.
