How does the Integumentary System Work?

The integumentary system is the largest organ system comprising of skin, hair, nails, gland and specialized nerve receptors. It’s functions including protecting the internal body, preventing disease causing microorganism from entering the body, temperature regulation, excreting waste through perspiration, protection against ultraviolet rays, and production of vitamin D.
