How does Smoking Affect the Heart?

There are numerous things that smoking can do to a person’s heart. Atherosclerosis, stroke, angina, heart attack and even heart failure. Atherosclerosis is when the arteries harden and get thick because of the fatty deposits building up in them. When this happens, it causes the blood flow to lessen because the arteries become more narrow and can’t let the bloow go through normally. A heart attack happens because of the amount of carbon monoxide that is released from the tobacco.
