How does a Roller Coaster Work?

Most rollar coaster work by having a chain, or cable, that pulls the cars up a very large hill (the hightest point of the ride) where the cars are released and that energy drives the cars to the next set of chains or cables that pull the cars up another (lower) hill, and the cars is released again. Some of the faster rollar coasters that launch mechanisms of compressed air that create the same type of energy – but faster!
