It’s really simple once you know the recipe. Use hot or sweet (or a combination, if you’d prefer) of banana peppers. Put 1 slit in the side of each pepper and pack peppers uniformly in jar. Make a brine containing: 1/2 tsp. turmeric, 1/2 tsp. salt,1/2 cup honey, 1 tsp. pickling spices, 1/2 cup water. Bring this to a rolling boil and pour over peppers in jar and then seal. You should prepare one jar at a time so that the brine will continue boiling. Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
