You can make tomato juice by washing down some ripened tomatoes, placing the tomatoes in a nonreactive pot along with halved red onion with celery ribs and leaves for flavor. Cook it over medium heat for 30 minutes or until the tomatoes are softened. You then take out the onion and celery, and pass the tomatoes through a food mill. Measure the juice, rinse the pot, and put the juice back in the pot with a teaspoon of sugar, salt, and 4 cups of tomato juice, and pepper. Bring the pot to a boil while stirring and then reduce the heat for 5 minutes. Finally, cool it and then chill it. Enjoy three days later!
