Stewed tomatoes is an easy process to do. Take about 12 tomatoes and put them into a sauce pan. Pour boiling water over them to help in removing the skin. Once the skin has been removed, drain the excess water, add 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar ( you can add another teaspoon if you like it more sweet) and some pepper to taste. Stew the mixture slowly for about 30 minutes. If you want to thicken it up, add 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs.
