It is ultra simple to make home made root beer. All that’s required are the following ingredients: 1 Cup of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of root beer extract, 1/8 teaspoon of Champagne Yeast #EC-1118, cold fresh water. You add the sugar to an empty two liter soda bottle, add the yeast, shake everything around, add the extract, fill the bottle with cold water while rinsing off the measuring spoon used for the extract, and finish adding the cold water until there is one-inch of room left at the top of the bottle; screw the cap on. Leave the bottle at room temperature for no less than three days and no more than four days. Place in fridge overnight so that it will be cold when you’re ready to drink the next morning.
