To make fried chicken, take one whole chicken cut up into eight pieces, sprinkle 3 tablespoons of hot sauce, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder on pieces and let it sit in fridge for one hour. When ready to fry pour two cups of buttermilk over pieces, place four cups of flour in a bowl, shake excess buttermilk off each piece and dip in flour, fry in a large cast iron skillet with peanut oil heated to 305 degrees Fahrenheit for 16-18 minutes. When the chicken floats it is finished, drain on paper towels and enjoy!
