How do You Make Candy Corn?

Candy Corn, one of the more popular Halloween candies, can be fairly easy to make. Start with boiling together sugar, corn syrup and butter, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and boil a few minutes longer, stirring occasionally, remove from heat and add vanilla. Mix together powdered sugar, powdered milk and salt then add to sugar solution. Mix together to form a dough, separate into 3 bowls and add desired coloring. Roll each section into a rope, lay them side by side and press them together. Use a rolling pin to evenly press the ropes, being sure not to roll them too thin. Cut the strip diagonally, and shape into the familiar corn kernels and set aside to harden.
