Buttercream icing is the easiest to make. Simply take 1/3 cup butter and beat with a mixer until fluffy. Add two cups of sifted powdered sugar, very slowly until mixed well into the butter. Slowly beat in 1/4 cup of milk and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla. Then slowly add another 2 1/2 cups of powdered sugar. If need be, you may need to add a little more milk so that it is the consistency you want.
