This is probably the easiest way I have made Baked Alaska, as I know there are different recipes for it. You will need an 8 inch cake layer frozen of any flavor you choose, 6 egg whites, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar and 1/2 gallon of any type of ice cream you want. With cooking spray, you want to grease a bowl that’s big enough to hold the 1/2 gallon of ice cream. let the ice cream soften enough so that you can work with with it. Pack the ice cream into the bowl and then return it to the freezer until it hardens. Once the ice cream is ready, in a small bowl beat the egg whites until they are foamy, add the tartar and whip until it becomes stiff. You then want to fold the sugar into the mixture a little at a time. Using a plate that’s bigger than the cake and also usable in the stove, place the cake on the plate, place the ice cream mold on top and then frost with the mixture. Bake in the oven at 450 degrees for about 7 minutes or until the meringue is golden. Store in the freezer until ready to eat and enjoy!
