Applesauce can be produced easily in the comfort of your home. Ripe apples should be washed and placed into a crock pot. Add several cups of water to the crock pot, cinnamon or other spices, if desired and cook on low to medium heat overnight. In the morning, drain the water and allow the apples to cool until comfortable to handle. Remove the skins and then process in a food processor or blender until the desired texture is achieved.
