How do You Make a Potato Clock?

You will need 2 galvanized nails, 3 alligator clips connected to each other with wire, 2 short pieces of heavy copper wire, a simple led clock unit, and 2 potatoes. Make sure the led clock unit normally operates off of a 1 or 2 volt battery. Remove the battery from the clock. Label your potatoes as number 1 and number 2. Insert one nail on one end of each potato, then insert one copper wire in the opposite end of each potato. Use one wired alligator clip to connect the copper wire in potato 1 to the positive terminal in the clock. Use another wired alligator clip to connect the copper wire in potato 2 to the negative terminal in the clock. Next take the third wired alligator clip to connect the nails in potato 1 and potato 2. Your clock should now be operating and ready for you to set it.
