How do You Make a Box and Whisker Plot?

The best way to make a box and whisker plot is to first determine the lower and upper mean as well as the median of the numbers you have in your problem. Once you have determined this, you can then draw a number line that contains all the numbers in your set and proceed to plot the median, upper median and lower medians by placing vertical lines above each number. You proceed by making a’box’ by connecting the lines and your ‘whiskers’ by extending horizontal lines with an ending dot on the smallest and highest number in your number set.
