The easiest way to cook pinto beans is in the crock pot. Depending on the size of your pot, rinse about 3-4 cups of beans, place in pot and add plenty of water. The beans will absorb a lot of the water so fill close to the top. Turn on high and let cook 8-10 hours. I like adding a chopped onion, salt and pepper, and a pound of cooked bacon a few hours before the beans are finished. They are great served with cornbread and you can add jalapenos or hot sauce depending on your taste.
