How do Trees Help the Environment?

Trees help the environment in many ways. They provide safe harbor for the many animals and insects that reside in and around them. They also filter our air. Leaves collect the dust and particulates from the air, then when it rains this is rinsed off the leaves, thus leaving our air cleaner. Leaves also absorb pollutants and in exchange give off oxygen for us to breathe. Trees also provide numerous other benefits such as windbreaks, shade and privacy.
