How do Storms Develop?

Storms usually develop due to a clash of warm and cold air high in the atmosphere. Mainly from cold fronts. Here in Florida we get a lot of summer thunderstorms which are cause by unstable air due to our proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. As the days get hotter it rushes up and meets cooler air aloft, thus causing our thunderstorms. Florida is the lighning capital after all.
